Over the course of my 3 years in Project Panther LIFE, I have been able to accomplish many things. Becoming a strong positive and responsible person is just a small part of what I have been able to do. This program has allowed me to take classes ranging from Human Development to Introduction to Computers. In the beginning of the program I had many weaknesses involving school. Now as a graduating senior I can look back and see all that Panther LIFE has allowed me to accomplish. I have progressed not only in my academic journey, but I have become a better individual.

Panther LIFE allowed me to job shadow throughout the years.  In the past 3 years I have shadowed in different jobs, including the Children Creative Learning Center and the Dean’s Office within the College of Education at FIU. These experiences opened my eyes to the hard work and dedication it takes to work with children and in an office. During my last year I attained an off campus Internship at ALX Couture. The staff was very helpful when training me to become a sales associate. I learned many skills and qualities that I will be able to apply in other fields. The best part of being in Project Panther LIFE was that I was able to get experience for the job I want.

The next step would be to get a job and become independent. I believe that graduating from this program will set me up for success in whichever career path I choose. Project Panther LIFE has changed my entire outlook on life. I am very thankful for the program and the staff that has become my second family.
